Familiar faces dominate 2008 Club Tourney

Alan Anderson, second-place finisher at last year's club tournament, took top prize at the 2008 tournament at Flatiron Reservoir with a four-fish string totaling 54 inches.  He also captured the prize for smallest fish of the day, an 8 1/2 incher. 

Norm Engelbrecht finished second with a 53 1/2 inch string at the four-hour event, which drew a record 38 anglers.  Last year's winner Jim Kucero was third with a total of 49 1/4 inches while Shirley Smilley hauled in a 17 1/2 inch rainbow to capture the prize for biggest single fish.  Frank Zupanc organized the highly successful event.  Photo information:  Alan hoists the trophy that goes to the winner until next year's tournament.  From the left are Shirley, Jim, Alan and Norm.  At bottom, Jim Clune shows the form that earned him the informal title as the tourney's most comfortable fisherman.
