Dick’s Bench   

The memorial bench honoring the late Dick Bunch was dedicated May 2 on the west side of the fish pond in North Lake Park, site of the annual Loveland Police Fishing Derby.  Dick, who died March 31, 2007, was a founding member of the club, and donations in his name were made to the club in lieu of flowers. 

During dedication ceremonies attended on a cold, blustery day by club members and friends, his widow Karol told attendees that her son was coming for a visit soon and “one of the places our grandkids want to go is here, to sit on their grandpa’s bunch.” In the photo below, Karol, left, is flanked on her right by former LFC Presidents Jim Clune and Norm Engelbrecht, listening to remarks by current President Jim Giles.
